The Site Supervisor’s Safety Training Scheme SSSTS (two-day)
Supervisor Specialist Skills Course (three-day)
Site Management Safety Training Scheme Course SMSTS (five-day)

This suite of complementary courses have been designed to enhance skills and provide certificated recognition of the level responsibility and knowledge of health and safety of all those who work on site, while acknowledging there is a natural progression from those first entering the construction industry to those responsible for managing complex construction projects and companies.
The courses can be taken individually – for people wanting to remain at operative level or equally those already at site manager level – or they can be taken consecutively as part of a career development programme.
Site Safety Plus is the optimal scheme for promoting safety consciousness from the moment someone enters the industry and throughout their career. These courses are constantly refined and developed to ensure the content and structure reflects current industry trends and practices. The courses deal with a range of everyday issues associated with construction work, and promotes the attainment of a health and safety culture throughout the workforce.
Specialist and Bespoke Health & Safety training
In addition to providing CITB approved courses Construction Safety Management has developed specialist courses which complement the core skills provided by the CITB’s Site Safety Plus courses. These additional courses enable life long learning and maintain the relevance and currency of existing skills and knowledge. For instance site agents or managers that are responsible for general access scaffolding can be given the skills and knowledge to enable the competent inspection and checking of scaffolds and for signing certificates and registers in accordance with statutory provisions by attending Construction Safety Management’s Scaffold safety and inspection course. Similarly Construction Safety Management can develop safety training courses tailored to suit the particular requirements of individual companies. The type of specialist courses run by Construction Safety Management includes:
Scaffold safety and inspection
Safe working at height for site workers
How to develop, write and implement risk assessments and method statements
Company or activity specific courses, tailored to address specialised operations, e.g. roofwork, groundworks, concrete & steel structural frames, etc*
*Bespoke Company or activity specific courses are designed with the Company and its relevant individuals to ensure the information and training is precisely identified, incorporating Company policies and procedures where appropriate.
